Biographies
David Harington
Managing Director

David has a background in computing, from software development to international sales to the advanced mathematics of bingo tickets. In 1996 David saw the need for reliable, cost-effective, computer-based visitor registration services at trade shows, and set up QRS to fill the gap. He is a keen cook, organist, cyclist and oarsman (but not all at once).
Fiona Jeffries
Accounts Manager

Fiona is responsible for finance, accounting and administration. Fiona’s background is in farming, and she is a sought-after sheep midwife. With 220 ewes of her own, invoicing by day and lambing by night, Fiona has been known to wake up to find herself bedded down with a sheep.
Ben Wheal
IT Manager

Ben looks after QRS’s IT developments, as well as providing day-to-day support to customers with special needs. In his spare time he trains to an abominable level of fitness, and is authoritative on fast cars and birds.
David Newman
On Site Manager

David looks after QRS’s inventory of equipment, prepares systems to go to shows, and manages registration on site. David’s background is in mining and quarrying. He is a keen ocean sailor, as well as playing the cornet in his local brass band.
Rachel Coker
Project Controller/Customer Liaison Manager

Rachel looks after each registration project, to make sure that nothing is overlooked. With over 80 shows per year, and typically 50 tasks to make each show happen, Rachel has a lot to keep an eye on. She has a degree in biomedical science.
Barbara Forrester
On-site Manager

Barbara has been looking after QRS shows on site for 10 years. With a background in retail marketing and research she has an obsession with standards in serving the public. This is just the ticket when she is behind the counter with QRS, but makes her a scary proposition when the positions are reversed. She relaxes by playing squash.
Colin Bruton
Business Development Manager

He has worked at QRS since 2005 in a business development role. He is also the youngest professional Toastmaster in the country. In his free time he enjoys fencing, dancing the Argentine Tango, messing about on boats and he is working towards his private pilot’s licence.
Jonathan Baylis
Web Programmer
QRS has always been a leader in web-based registration, and Jonathan was responsible for many QRS firsts, including PreView, Dante and SmartForm. In his spare time Jonathan renovates houses, his latest project being a castle in Ireland.
